Smokestack

Smokestack was developed as a restaurant concept inside Røverstaden, Oslo’s large-scale event venue. Positioned around elevated American Southern cuisine, the concept centered on in-house smoked meats and a more refined interpretation of traditional barbecue within a dynamic cultural setting. Working closely with the designers responsible for the overall venue, the project required balancing autonomy with cohesion. The scope included development of the kitchen and bar build-out, full restaurant interior design, lighting direction, signage, branding, photography, and content creation. The goal was to create a distinct identity that could stand confidently on its own while complementing the architectural and visual language of the larger event space. The result is a restaurant that feels integrated yet clearly defined, adding depth and character to the overall venue experience.
