Night Pig

Night Pig was a large-scale restoration and concept development project occupying all three floors of an old building in a side street off one of Oslo’s busiest nightlife areas. Conceived as a Taiwanese izakaya-style restaurant, the ambition was to recreate the feeling of an Asian back alley in the middle of a Scandinavian capital. The building was fully gutted and reduced to its original structures before being rebuilt, reusing as much of the existing materials as possible. Concrete, wood, and steel were introduced to reinforce a raw, urban character while preserving the integrity of the original architecture. The street-facing facade became defined by a large, iconic red neon sign that cast a glow across the entire street at night, establishing Night Pig as a visual landmark. Inside, the interiors were designed to feel warm, layered, and immersive. Custom lighting, bespoke neon artwork, vintage posters, a functioning 90s CCTV display system, a marble bar, custom-built seating, and an eclectic mix of objects and artifacts created a space full of detail and discovery. The scope included full branding, logo and visual identity development, interior design and execution, artwork and illustration, photography, and ongoing content creation. The result was a deeply atmospheric, multi-floor restaurant concept where architecture, identity, and narrative were tightly integrated into a singular experience.
